FAQ

Q ~  Do you have puppies available?

A ~ When we have puppies available they will be listed on our puppies page, this page will let you know who is available and when we are expecting puppies.  Please note that we don't have puppies available all the time, quality puppies take quality planning.  Lots of times if we don't have what you are looking for we often know another quality breeder that we can put you in contact with.

Q ~ How old do the puppies have to be to go to their new homes?

A ~ Puppies that are to be picked up can be picked up at 7 weeks old.  Puppies must be 8 weeks old to fly.

Q ~ What airline do you use & what areas do you ship to?

A ~ We currently use Delta Pet First, United & American to ship our puppies.  We will ship in the US and overseas.  We currently have shipped puppies to Alaska, Puerto Rico, Virginia, New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Oregon, California, Minnesota, Florida, Iowa, Arkansas, Iowa, Michigan, & Texas.  Click here to learn more about shipping.

A ~ $100 covers the cost of the health certificate & crate, plus the cost of the airfare which is around $250.  (Airfare can be paid by check or credit card COD at the airport)   Click here to learn more about shipping.

Q ~ Do you allow visits to your kennel?

A ~ We love to have visitors & getting to know the people that will be taking our puppies home with them is always great.   We are open to visitors anytime we don't have a litter of puppies.  Once we have puppies born ONLY the people that have paid deposits are allowed to visit.  Those that have puppies reserved with us appreciate this policy.  The health of our puppies is our main concern and we ask anyone that would like to visit us to not go to another kennel prior to our kennel as puppies are very susceptible to illnesses & we wouldn't want our puppies to be exposed to any diseases or viruses that could be brought from another kennel.  Protecting our puppies is our top priority.  Visits are by appointment only.

A ~ We had our first litter from Meg November 2001.  Since then we have raised lots of puppies!  We are always interested in bettering the labrador retriver breed & strive to produce good quality, sound puppies.  Click here to learn more about us.

Q ~ What is included with my new puppy?

A ~ All puppies come pre-loved & pre-spoiled first & foremost :)  We also send home a deluxe puppy packet with your puppy's AKC limited registration form, copies of both parents pedigrees & certifications, written health & hip guarantee, complete health record which includes all shots & dewormings, information on the labrador retriever breed, sample pack of the NuVet Vitamins, plus a sample pack of the food your puppy is currently eating.  Click here to learn more about being a new puppy owner.

Q ~ Can I have my puppies pictures?

A ~ Yes, I will be glad to give you a CD of all the pictures & videos that have been taken of your puppy, originals & watermarked pictures.

A ~ Yes we give a written health guarantee & a full 26 month hip guarantee.  When dealing with live animals, you can never be certain that everything will always be perfect with every puppy, if this were the case a guarantee wouldn't be necessary.  We stand behind every puppy we sell 100%, and are always available for any question you may have.  Click here to learn more about our guarantee.

Q ~ Do you remove dew claws?

A ~ Not on every litter, but when we do, we take our puppies to a licensed vet to remove the dew claws between 3 and 5 days of age.  We believe this makes your puppy look much better!  Also removing the dew claws will avoid any possible problems in the future, so you won't have to worry about your puppy catching the claw in the carpet while playing inside or in the bushes while playing or hunting outside.

Q ~ What color Labradors do you breed?

A ~ We currently offer puppies in the traditional coat colors of Chocolate ~ light to dark chocolate, Yellow ~ white to fox red, & Black.

A ~ Yes we do, I personally scan each chip before it gets inserted.  Microchips are one of the best things you can do to get your new puppy off to the right start.  It is permanent identification that shows the dog belongs to you.  We use the AKC Campanion Animal Recovery microchip.  This microchip is a prepaid lifetime enrollment chip!!  Please note that all puppies must be microchipped.  We will microchip your puppy for $50 or you have the option of having the microchip done at your vet, if you choose this option, please notify me of the microchip number.  Click here to learn more about microchips.

Q ~ Who takes care of your dogs & puppies?

A ~ My name is Tammy & I am the one that does everything that needs to be done with my dogs & puppies.  I DO NOT have any employees to scoop poop or do any of the not so pleasing jobs.  Everything is handled by me personally or my husband, Ricky!!  It is a pleasure for me to spend time with my dogs & puppies, I enjoy being with them and taking care of them.  All of my dogs are allowed lots of play time with me inside our fence each day!  All of my puppies are handled by me multiple times a day!  It is my goal for each of my dogs to feel like they are the only dog here, so I give them lots of love and one on one time!  My husband, Ricky is always there for me if I need a helping hand especially for all those 50 lb bags of dog food we need!
