_____4. Your puppy is eating TLC puppy food. If you have the food already, you are off to a great start. If not, you will want to order it ASAP so your puppy doesn't have to make the transition to your home & a new food, this could be too much on your puppy's system and could cause diarrhea. Your puppy is eating 2 times a day, the amount right now is 3/4 cup each feeding. 7am & 7pm are the approx. times I am feeding. I do wet the food because of group feeding they tend to eat very fast. Your puppy is capable of eating it dry so try that first, if your puppy doesn't want to eat it dry you can add some water & let it sit for a few minutes and try again. As the puppy grows you will continue to increase their food per instructions on the bag. We hope you will continue to feed the TLC food as we have tried many different brands & are very impressed with the TLC food. Puppy parents can contact TLC's knowledgeable Pet Service Team Mon-Fri 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM est by phone at 1-877-328-8400 or email at petservice@tlcpetfood.com to answer any questions you may have. Autoship is available & recommended.

_____5. Your puppy is already taking the NuVet Vitamins. If you have the vitamins already, once again you are off to a great start. If not, you will need to go ahead & order them. You are given 3 vitamin wafers at pickup, break each one into 4 pieces that will give you 12 pieces total. You will start with 1/4th of a wafer in the AM, once your puppy has made their adjustment to your home, you may begin to increase the vitamin wafer to 1/2. After a few more days you can go to 3/4 wafer & then onto the whole vitamin wafer. All of our limited registration puppies have our 2 year guarantee, however for those that continue them on NuVet we will extend this guarantee to 3 years. There is a pamphlet in the puppy package that shows all the benefits your puppy receives from the vitamins. If you'd like to speak with someone, you may call NuVet at 1-800-474-7044 to order, you must give them our code which is 75134. NuVet also has a joint vitamin that dogs need as they age. We start ours on NuJoint at 5 years old. Save 15% with the convenience of Autoship.

(Special Notes) If your puppy has diarrhea that doesn't clear up within 1 day or continues to get looser then you should take your puppy to the vet to rule out parasites. Worms, coccidia & giardia are very common in young puppies and will need to be treated sooner rather than later. All of these parasites can multiply when the puppy is stressed.

(Special Notes) Any increase whether it be food, vitimin wafers or treats can upset their tummy, if your puppy has diarrhea you will need to cut back on whatever you increased. All increases need to be done slowly.

(Special Notes) Please do not spay/neuter before 18 months of age. Spay/Neuter delays the closure of growth plates on long bones if the spay/neuter is done before the growth plates have closed. With a large breed dog the growth plates may not close until 18 months of age. If your dog is spayed or neutered before 18 months you will void your puppy's guarantee.
